Mission

The mission of REPARTI is to study, design and use distributed intelligent shared environments
to improve the quality of life of users by reducing the effects of their geographic distribution.

Objectives

The objectives to achieve this mission are:

1. Carry out leading research within three integrated research themes:

perception
modelling/reasoning/learning
interaction

2. Train highly qualified personnel in their respective disciplines:

artificial vision
robotics
virtual reality
control of haptic devices
man-machine interfaces, modelling
pattern recognition, artificial intelligence
networking
system engineering
computational architectures
simulation

3. Transfer the research results to the user sector in three main application
areas:

health
security
arts

4. Contribute towards increasing the richness of the province of Québec through
the development of high added-value technologies, the creation of
companies, and the creation of high-quality jobs.
